Business Update: COVID-19

A Business Update From the Managing Director

This is a very difficult time for everyone, and we want to thank all our customers who have continued to support us during this turbulent period.  However, the government’s announcement last night has forced us to make some very quick and very tough decisions for our business.

Although we’re still working very hard to maintain service levels, we are mindful of updated government guidance and will now be implementing further measures.  To ensure our staff are as safe as possible we will reduce the numbers attending work with immediate effect.  This will allow a greater number of staff to avoid unnecessary travel, and those who are reporting to work to practice safe distancing measures.

What does this mean for customers?

As we’re already an online business, we will continue processing all orders for printed and plain goods but with a few key changes:

ŸOur phone lines will remain open as usual for all queries, but there might be a slight delay in answering.

We will not be offering our usual ‘guaranteed same day’ despatch service but will continue to process online orders for plain goods as quickly as we can and will still aim to despatch the same day where possible.

ŸDelivery services have been impacted by increased volumes of parcels in the network.  We cannot guarantee the timescale quoted as the couriers are no longer providing this level of service.  We will keep updating information on our website regarding delivery services.  As long as the courier networks continue to run, we’ll continue to process and despatch orders.

Please do bear with us while we attempt to continue providing an uninterrupted service.  We wish it hadn’t come to this, but we know we’re not the only business affected by the current world crisis.  We have an incredibly dedicated and loyal team here at CB HQ and I’m incredibly proud of them all.  We hope when this is over that all our staff can return to work, and it will truly be business as usual.

From our Clever Baggers’ family to yours, look after yourselves.  We look forward to getting back to normal when the time is right.  Until that time, please take care everyone and stay safe.

Darren Davies,
Managing Director
