Name – Stephanie Morgan

Job Role – Studio Artworker

Tell us about you – I’m 40 years old (and in my prime apparently!) and originally from Bolton in Northwest England. I’ve got a quite a contrasting background to my current job role and have been fortunate enough to have worked in a variety of different sectors. I have a master’s degree in Conservation, and I specialised in neo-tropical tree frogs in my early twenties which took me on several trips to the jungle in Costa Rica and Ecuador. I ended up taking a different direction and working in the residential childcare sector, which is what originally brought me to the area. I met my husband in that job, and we’ve been together ever since. We have a 10-year-old son, and I have three older stepchildren and a wonderful 4-year-old step granddaughter. I worked in the special education sector for several years before my husband and I decided to setup our own custom painting business as he is a very talented airbrush artist, and I now help him manage the business around my job at The Clever Baggers; so life is very busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Activities / Hobbies – I enjoy reading, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, and most outdoor things including mountain biking and going away in our camper. I also enjoy following the Downhill Mountain Biking and attending races and events where I can.

Favourite meal to indulge yourself in? – Pizza, I like to have loads of different toppings on if I feel like being indulgent!

About you in the company – I work in the studio department where I feel right at home! I enjoy working in this area as it’s a varied role that involves computer-based work as well as printing. I work with customer artwork to produce printing proofs and get the opportunity to do more challenging editing tasks as well as original create designs to be printed onto products and sold on our website. I do embellishment printing on the heat press and digital printer, and I enjoy the challenge of turning a customer’s design into a reality on our products.

What do you like best about working for Clever Baggers? – I like the variation in my work, but if I had to choose one area then I do enjoy working in depth with customer artwork to turn their ideas into a reality. One example that comes to mind is a Coronation design tea towel where I customer had a hand drawn cartoon that they posted in, and after scanning the design in I was able to edit this and turn it into a digital artwork file that could then be screen printed.

Favourite product? – The khaki canvas 12oz Super Shopper (LG-5240-12VKH), I love the colour and feel of the bag and the size is brilliantly practical! I also really like the natural 8oz canvas shopper (LG-4338-8NVL-BKL) with a stylish contrasting lining and the outside is perfect for printing on!

Plain or Printed? – ️Printed all the way, I love the idea of having something unique!
