Job Role – Social Media Manager
Tell us about you – I am 29 years old, fast approaching 30 and live in North Wales with my partner and 14 year old Yorkshire terrier who acts like an old man but looks like a puppy. I have a degree in Events Management, which is probably why I tend to organise everything going on in my life. I spent a summer abroad working and living in Orlando, Florida. I worked in the Hard Rock Hotel and would spend all of my free time at Universal or Disney parks, with the excursion out of state once and a while. It was so fun and very HOT, the best summer of my life, I am constantly saving to go back there on holiday. I'm a typical millennial, in a way that I'm a sucker for nostalgia, I love rewatching old cartoons and films from my childhood, as well as playing "retro" video games.
Activities / Hobbies – I like reading, I am a sucker for a BookTok recommendation, and I also embroider, which was a relatively new hobby I picked up about 4 years ago, I recently embroidered a denim jacket to wear at Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour. I love to hop on a plane or train and travel to new places and I am a big fan of theatre, at any given chance I will go and see shows at the West End/Broadway or even on tour.
Favourite meal to indulge yourself in? – I love pub food. There’s always so much choice and it always tastes amazing, you can never be disappointed. I also love a buffet. Like a party buffet, with mini triangle sandwiches, bowls of crisps, sausage rolls and a variety of cakes.
Favourite Film – This is always the question I struggle with and usually panic to answer as there’s just so many. I like Marvel movies, Disney movies, romcoms and action film. But narrowing it down, I love your cheesy teen drama films like Mean Girls, Easy A, and John Tucker Must Die. I also love an 80’s classic like Ferris Buller’s Day Off or any John Hughes movie. Forrest Gump is one I quote a lot, but I guess my all-time favourite is The Back to the Future Trilogy.
About you in the company – I am the Social Media Manager here and have been in this role for just over 3 years. You’ve probably heard my voice or even seen me appear in numerous videos posted across our social medias. While most of my colleagues might think I spend most of my time scrolling TikTok and liking posts on Instagram, there is a lot of behind-the-scenes work going on! I plan the content for The Clever Baggers months in advance, looking ahead of what’s coming up in the year as well as trying to stay on trend with what’s happening now and jumping on the latest trending audio. As well as managing and creating content for all the social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, & YouTube) I also write up the blogs on the site and construct the email newsletters that are sent to your inboxes. I’m always looking at new ways to showcase our business and what we do, recently we looked into going “Live” on TikTok and Instagram to showcase the printing process and other areas of the business. I spend a lot of time engaging with customers, whether that be in the comment section of a post, or answering questions in messages. It’s pretty fair to say I have a lot going on in my day to day work life, and I don’t even think I’ve painted the whole picture.
What do you like best about working for Clever Baggers? – I think everyone says this, but it’s the people. Everyone that works at The Clever Baggers is so lovely and friendly, sound cliché but it does feel like one big family.
Favourite product? – I think it has got to be the cotton cushion covers for me (CC-4141-CT). There’s lots of colours to choose from, I have pink, forgetmenot, and green on my sofa bed! Which is coincidentally the colours of the PowerPuff Girls…
Plain or Printed? – ️ That is a tough question, because I LOVE watching and recording each of our printing processes. BUT I also LOVE scrolling through the social media channels and getting tagged in our plain products and seeing what designs our lovely customers have created with our products.
