June 2009 Clever Glastonbury bags
Clever Baggers' bags are another big hit with those people lucky enough to go to the glastonbury festival. Follow the link to see where one bag ended up!

OK, if you can't be bothered to click the link, it went to Peru which by our reckoning is approx. 6,000 miles as the crow barks. If you can beat this, and prove it with a photo, please let us know and we'll send you a free 2009 Galstonbury bag. Email sales@thecleverbaggers.co.uk
Easter
2009 New web site up and running
Well you can see the results! Any (polite) sugestions as to how we can further improve your browsing experience would be welcome. Please let Will (will@thecleverbaggers.co.uk) know of any glaring mistakes
March
2009 New web site soon to be launched
We now have three sites: this one, our online Bag Boutique, and our online Wholesale shop .
Understandably it can be a little confusing for all you lovely customers so we've
listened to your comments (both good and bad!) and we are working hard to seamlessly
integrate all three. Will, IT Manager and online wizard, is currently in a dark cellar
chained to a pc and we've told him he can't come out until it's finished. 'What about
your ethical trading policy?' we hear you ask.
Well we do feed him occasionally, you know, bits of old computers, cables in a tasty
pesto sauce, that kind of thing. And he does get paid.. He says 'it'll be ready when it's
ready' but we think he might want to come out of the cellar by Easter so fingers
crossed!
March
2009 Introducing 'Fifi'
Meet the gorgeous Fifi! We decided that the website lacked 'the human
touch' so we're in the process of re-vamping the sites (see above) and letting Fifi show
off some of the products so you can see what they look like being handled by a real
person!
October
2008 Clever Baggers Online Wholesale Shop
Opens
Due to increasing demand for large quantities of plain bags, we've now
opened our new online wholesale store. Unlike the Clever Baggers Bag Boutique where we sell smaller quantities from single items upwards, the Wholesale Shop
specifically caters for full carton quantities to pallet loads (full pallet loads contain
24 cartons). Visit the new site here
10 June 2008 Clever
Baggers gets Oeko-Tex 100 Certification
It's official! Our natural cotton and canvas bags now have the full UK
seal of approval provided by Shirley Technologies Ltd. The certification confirms that
our bags are entirely free from any harmful chemicals or additives, but most specially
that there is no discernable trace of pesticides. More details, including a downloadable
pdf copy of the certificate, can be accessed from our 'Environmental Information' page
06 June 2008 The
Clever Baggers go to Glastonbury - again!
Don't listen to all the reports about poor ticket sales, doom, gloom,
rain and mud! This year's line-up musically is the best ever, even if you don't like rap.
It's worth going to if only to get this year's limited edition cotton bag, supplied,
naturally, by The Clever Baggers

'Bag for Life' cotton carrier bags
promoted by Glastonbury Festival organisers
The
Glastonbury Festival is one of the most prestigious open air music festivals in the
world, attracting a maximum capacity crowd of more than 170,000 lovers of music and
dance. This year the organisers, led by Emily Eavis and supported by Greenpeace, Oxfam, Water Aid, iCount and Yeo
Valley Organic, decided to promote a bag for life instead of giving away plastic bags
to ticket holders. In previous years one of the biggest problems with the aftermath
clear-up was the large numbers of plastic bags left as rubbish on site.
A deal was struck with The Clever Baggers and consequently a total of
155,000 of our BAG2 cotton carriers are being given away to ticket
holders at this years' festival which starts on Friday June 22. For more details of the
festival, go to www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk
